Metallic Pieces for the New Year

When dressing up and decorating for New Years Eve parties we always go with shimmer, sequins, and metallics. It’s a must. So in honor of the new year, we wanted to continue the theme by finding items we love in eye-catching metallics. We have some brass, chrome, and nickel with complimenting neutrals such as black leather, chocolate velvet, and white linen. The new year is all about fresh starts to make positive changes in your life. We will continue with this mantra in the blogs for the rest of the month. Discussing how to organize your home, trends we’re predicting for the new year, and how to create a space with positive energy for optimal working space and family time. But let’s jump back into metallics! No matter what trends we’re seeing, metals never go out of style. Gold and brass pieces have been particularly popular over the last few years and it doesn’t seem like they’re going anywhere. Chrome and stainless steel were huge in the early-mid 2000’s and we’re definitely seeing a rise of it again but in a more playful way.

Hardware, Lighting, & Wallpaper:

1. Brass Pull | 2. Chrome Pull | 3. Brass Knob | 4. Chrome Knob | 5. Nickel Sconce | 6. Brass Sconce | 7. Golden Globes Pendant | 8. Black & Gold Chandelier | 9. Gold “Bruno” Wallpaper | 10. Silver “Serengeti” Wallpaper | 11. Mixed Metals “Sycamore” Wallpaper | 12. Black & Gold “Diamante” Wallpaper

Furniture for the Home:

1. Sea Anemone Side Table | 2. Velvet & Brass Armchair | 3. Chrome & Glass Coffee Table | 4. Mid-Century Chests (Set of Two) | 5. Leather Director’s Stool | 6. Silver Lining White Dining Chair | 7. Kick start the new year with some fresh metals in your home! These looks are modern and chic but can come across cold. So play into it by adding soft rugs (like the ones we picked.) And add other materials to balance it out such as velvet and fur. A home that’s all metal doesn’t leave much comfort, but using it sparingly, complimented with softer fabrics is the way to go.
