Color Inspiration: January (Grammy’s Edition)

Still talking about last weekend’s Grammy’s?? We know we’re still thinking about some of the gorgeous gowns and tuxes we saw that evening; these will be the focus of January’s color post! Drawing inspiration from Valentino, Ashi, Gucci, Versace, Dolce and Gabbana. The selection that night was absolutely stunning. Fashion and interior design have always gone hand in hand… So we’re taking our inspiration from these fabulous designers and forming them into a viable color palette for your home!

The Grammy’s is not usually known for its typical “runway looks”, it’s more of a “pick a theme, and run with it” kind of event. But most of these selections have a contradictory timeless yet current feel to them. Even though every outfit individually stuck out and had their own taste, we noticed a few trends… a modern take on tulle and feathers, velvet, cut outs, modern lace with harsh lines, creamy nudes, bell-type sleeves, drama on the arms but tight on the waist. These are all key textures and shapes that can easily be taken into consideration for furniture design and accessories. Once again, this was done with the help of Sherwin Williams Color Snap App.
