Color Inspiration: March (Outdoor Space)

Have you thought about what you’re going to do with your backyard for the spring and summer? We’re focusing our color palette for the month of March with one of our favorite outdoor designs from our Spanish Oaks House back in 2012.

Now that the weather is warmed up and we have these longer, brighter evenings, this is the time to start thinking about how you’re going to spend time in your backyard! Family barbecues, pool parties, just taking your dinner outside, and relaxing in your own little oasis. In Austin, March is a perfect month for these activities because it is not nearly as hot nor humid as it will be in the next few months! This shot is from 2012 but the landscaping, architecture, and design of it all is still ideal for today’s backyard aesthetic. By using limestone, a native Texas Hill Country resource, we created a space that is obviously high end but still feels natural to the environment. Bringing in colors from the foliage along with the limestone used for the fireplace and even the furniture and accent pieces helped to create a really calming color palette that can be used in your own backyard renovations. Next week’s post will consist of the furniture and outdoor accessories that you need for these warm evenings with your family to continue this theme! And as usual, we created the color palette with the help of Sherwin Williams Color Snap App!
